1. Introduction:
The above Company and the Union embarked on a collective bargaining process, on expiry of an earlier agreement, to arrive at an increase in salaries/wages and certain other issues for all unionized staff of Kajjansi Roses Ltd. After several rounds of discussions between the Company and Union the following was agreed
2. Terms of Agreement:
a)
It was agreed that the existing gross salaries/wages of employees shall be increased as indicated below:
Fixed term contract from UGX 80,000 to UGX 90,000 per month Permanent workers:
1)Category I 85,000 to 95,000 per month
2)Category II 90,000 to 102,000 per month
3)Category III 95,000 to 110,000 per month
b)
The revised gross salaries/wages as per 2 (a) above will take effect from 1st June 2011 for a period of one year, i.e. up to May 31st 2012.
c)
It was further agreed that arrears will also be paid for eligible employees resulting as per 2 (a) above with effect from 1st June 2011.
d)
It was also agreed to place the eligible / suitable employees who are on annual contract and completed 12 months as on 1st June 2011, in to permanent grade based on their performance and availability of vacancy through a process of selection.
